I made the demo of this track at work, when there was nothing to do, at James Bönd - Myndbandaleiga in early 2011. I turned on the computer and started to work in Ableton Live by playing the computer keyboard, like the acid line and the synth pad (hello title). When I came home from work I finished arranging the song and after that I didn't open it for many months. During summer of 2011 I was looking for an opener for my set at the Extreme Chill festival and found this track again (it was perfect because it was 120 BPM, so people could prepare for the madness to come). I added bass, the sine wave and the percussion and after some polishing - it sounded nice to me. When I was with Bix at the Muhaha Records studio, when he was mastering the album, he pointed out to me that I should take the bass drum in the beginning to let the track have a breather in the intro. He was right - it totally opened the track. Today when I play the track live I sometimes sing repetitive lyrics over it - and if the crowd is right, it feels right.
The process of making 'James Acid' reminded me of the times when I grew up - when my family had a video store. In the summer of '97 we also sold CD's, which I got from the legandary music store Þruman, and the days were spent by making acid music in the software ReBirth RB-338, listening to music and watching movies. Good old times (nothing hasn't changed really, except I'm a father and I don't use ReBirth any more to create music).

Absolutely gorgeous album. You can hear the love in every track coming through loud & clear. Diverse in range & tempo, but extremely cohesive in overall sound. Excellent work!
